Bismarck Art & Galleries Association is the only private non-profit art gallery in the region open free of charge to the public. Camp Hancock State Historic Site
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This was a military installation established in 1872 to provide protection for the Northern Pacific Railroad workers. Dakota Dinosaur Museum
Journey through the past; see eleven full-scale dinosaurs including a real triceratops skull; outstanding mineral collection; vertebrate and invertebrate fossils; rhinoceros and bison; Dino gift shop. Open May 1 through Labor Day, 9am-5pm daily. Call 701-225-DINO for more information.

Dakota Zoo
The Dakota Zoo is home to a wide assortment of creatures ranging from endangered monkeys to moose to brown bears. Many new exhibits feature naturalistic habitats, where visitors can observe animals that are comfortable in their homes. In the summer season, see the grounds from the comfort of one of the Zoo's two trains. Open late April - September 30 daily 10am – 8pm; October - late April Friday - Sunday 1 – 5pm. Double Ditch Indian Village
The site contains the ruins of a large Mandan Indian earth lodge village that was inhabited during the period of 1500-1780. Take our self-guided interpretive walk. Located at Hwy 1804. Call 701-328-2666 for more information.

Former Governors' Mansion State Historic Site
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this Victorian-style mansion was built in 1884. It has been the home of the 21 former Governors of North Dakota from 1893 – 1960. The exhibits illustrate the restoration process that has taken place; open May 16 - September 15 Wednesday - Sunday 1 – 5pm. Call 701-328-2666 for more information.

Game & Fish Lobby Wildlife Museum
View the varied displays of North Dakota wildlife and live fish aquarium in our headquarters lobby. The outdoor wildlife-learning site is adjacent to our office and includes fishing pond and an interpretive walking trail through native plants and recreated North Dakota landforms. North Dakota Heritage Center and Sakakawea Statue
This is the State's largest museum and it has an outstanding collection of Plains Indian artifacts and interpretive exhibits that feature North Dakota's varied American Indian, military and agricultural history. Visit the special children's historical exhibit area and the unique museum store. Sakakawea Statue stands near the entrance. North Dakota State Capitol
The 19-story, Art Deco building was constructed in 1932 for $2 million and contains unique woods and materials from many states and countries. Open all year Monday - Friday 8am – 5pm; Monday - Friday hourly tours are given 8am – 4pm; Memorial Day - Labor Day Saturday 9am – 4pm; Sunday 1 – 4pm. Call 701-328-2000 for more information.

Steamboat Warehouse State Historic Site
An interpretive marker denotes the site of a Northern Pacific Railroad Company warehouse that was built in 1883 to store goods in trans-shipment between steamboats and freight cars. Located on the E bank of the Missouri River on River Road. Call 701-328-2666 for more information.

Super slide Amusement Park
The Park offers mini-golf, bank shot basketball, super slide, a Ferris Wheel, carousel, batting machines, tubs, swings, bumper cars, whisper carts and the newest attraction, the climbing wall. Open May 1 - Labor Day Monday - Saturday 11am – 11pm; Sunday noon – 11pm. Located at Riverside Park Road in Sertoma Park.

Theodore Roosevelt Rough Rider Hall of Fame
The oil portraits exhibited here feature the recipients of the state's highest honor, the Theodore Roosevelt Roughrider Award. The Award is given to outstanding North Dakotan's who have attained accomplishments that have brought honor to the state.
